Upcoming Pennsy Trail Events

SATURDAY, JULY 30, 2022 from 9 AM – 12 PM

This is the 4th in the series of 6 monthly bike rides in 2022 by NRHT, Inc. to see firsthand the status of open sections of the cross-state National Road Heritage Trail & enjoy each section’s local culture. The 22-mile July ride will include 2 round trips on the Pennsy Trail of Greenfield Parks & Recreation. This also coincides with the Pennsy Trail Art and Music Festival in Greenfield. Please note that riders participate at their own risk & minors must be accompanied by an adult responsible for them.

Meeting point:

The group will depart at 9:00 AM on July 30 from the Pennsy Trail parking lot in Greenfield, behind the Hancock County Courthouse, heading west first. The ride will also include a stop at an Historic National Road Interpretive Panel. At the end of the ride, the Pennsy Trail Art & Music Festival will be in full swing & there are a number of restaurants nearby for post-ride refreshments.

It is also recommended after the ride to drive to the CR 400 W Pennsy Trail trailhead about 2.5 miles west of Greenfield to see and even ride the new 1-mile Pennsy Trail section paved in 2021.
