We live along the Buck Creek Trail that connects to the Pennsy in Cumberland.
When it was proposed, we were very skeptical. The trail goes across the front of our property.
We are both right at 80 years old and have become very thankful for the trail.
Because of the trail, we can get on our bikes, ride to Cumberland or Irvington to get lunch, and ride back, without ever getting on a road. This can be up to a 16 mile round trip. When connected to Greenfield we will be excited to ride there as well.
Our grandchildren have ridden with us, and they will have that memory forever. We would not be doing that without the trail going on our property.
We also get to see the grandchildren a little more often. Our oldest granddaughter and her husband have made our house a ride destination. Our younger grandchildren will stop by because their family uses the trail regularly.
We ride our bikes far more than ever before. We have seen so many benefits to having the trail on our property.
